Happy Birthday

Okay, slap me with wet noodles but today is my grandson's first birthday -- hurrah:

On this date, one year ago, he made an "early" entrance, guess he decided the apartment was too damn small.  Five weeks early but you'd never know it and he's just perfect.

Once again this damn program is being fussy about photos so I shall try to load more later -- got a cute one of him playing with real tools and acting like he is undecided about which one to share with Dada as they hook up my ice maker.

Have a good one, I'm off to Curves --one of these days I will actually see real curves on this body instead of rolling lumps!

Yes, I know it is raining, well, what did ya expect? We couldn't keep having nice weather forever and we need the rain too.  And the birds are returning to my bird feeders --hurrah!

Okay, gotta do a few things, then off to the daycare to watch the Dress-Up Parade and of course, see my year old grandson in his costume (like I haven't seen this before--- I was there when Mommy got it and there to witness the try-on...and he'll wear it again tomorrow for his BIG party too.

Yup, Here's Your Sign

I gotta tell ya, people amaze me and sometimes I just wonder how in hell they managed to stay alive as long as they have cuz they do some of the dumbest things.

I had entered a public restroom, the handicap stall was free, no sooner had I entered when an elderly woman, with a walker and her daughter entered behind me.  The woman leaves her walker and heads into stall.  I had gone into one a few doors down.

"Oh no," the woman said.
"What's wrong Mom," asked her daughter.
"I locked the door and now I can't get off the toilet!"
"What," the dau asks again!
"The door is locked and I can't get off the pot, help me!"
"Mom, I can't reach over the top nor squeeze under the door, you gotta get up and unlock the door," the dau said as calmly as possible.  I'm in this other stall just shaking my head and thinking (do I volunteer to crawl under the door for them?  No way).
"So what do you want me to do do," yells the mother? I wanted to scream, why in hell didn't you use the handicap stall fool!
"Mom," the girl says patiently, "rock yourself and stretch so you can reach the lock and unlock the door or I'll have to leave you and find someone who can unlock the stall."
"Don't leave me," screams the mother.  "Wait, I am moving, almost up, oh my goodness, this is harder than I thought.  Are we the only ones in the bathroom?
"Mom, what difference does it make, you're stuck, they can't see you and right now, you need to get your ass off that seat and unlock this friggin door!"
"You mean little bitch, I'll get out and when I do, you're gonna get slapped for being so mean to me."
"Whatever it takes to get your ass out of there is fine with me," said the girl.

The end is that Mom did manage to get off the seat, the daughter opened the door and had her walker right there and she nicely walked herself to the sink, washed her hands and life was good.  I was still in my stall, hand over my mouth, laughing like a nut case!

And you don't think they both needed a sign?  Ye gads!  Well, it is now 7:16 and I can see outside -- oh man, its a dark ole sky out there and looks like we're in for some nasty weather. And yes the wind is blowing too.  If it rains, then it'll be a nappy day for Clint and I -- well, that might be a good thing.

Have a great day people -- life is good!!!

Pentatomoidea

Oh my, I really got your attention now or did I???  Here it is in lingo we all can understand (I hope):

They are commonly referred to as shield bugs, chust bugs, and stink bugs. Shield bugs have glands in their thorax between the first and second pair of legs which produce a foul smelling liquid. This liquid is used defensively to deter potential predators and is sometimes released when the bugs are handled carelessly.

During warm months, female stink bugs attach large masses of eggs to the underside of leaves and stems. After hatching, the wingless nymphs go through five immature stages before becoming full-sized, winged adults. Stink bugs are not known to bite humans but caution should be used when handling them to avoid a release of their odor.

These insects are not known to cause harm to humans, although homeowners become alarmed when the bugs enter their homes and noisily fly about. The stink bug will not reproduce inside structures or cause damages. If many of them are squashed or pulled into a vacuum cleaner, their smell can be quite apparent.  Here's a couple photos...ya, yuck!!!

Brown stink bug

Yellow stink bug

Okay, big deal, eh? Well, supposedly the stink bug is invading more than the damn bed bugs which have made national news around the world lately.  I mean, some folks are afraid to go to hotels for fear they'll be swarmed by bed bugs. Oh if you do, bring a plastic bag for your suitcase -- huh?

Bed bugs can be described as the warm blood suckers.Bed bugs respond to the warmth and carbon dioxide of a host and quickly locate a suitable feeding site. They tend not to live with human beings and theirs coming into contact with human beings is for sucking only their blood as meal. Most blood feeding occurs during the night hours and they generally seek to remain idle during the day for digesting the blood meal.

Being flattened by their body they get sneaked very easily into the cracks and crevices of frame of bed, wooden furniture, carpets and filthy bed sheets. It is presumed that they get produced in hot moisturized climate and reside in wooden articles. Living in the bed and all those articles which are used by the people, they have been named bed bugs. They get activated during the mid night hours. Although the bed bugs resemble like cockroaches, they differ by their size and wing. Bed bugs do not happen to have wing like the cockroaches have, but they run so fast that they can't be caught easily by the person getting victimized of their bite. You can check pictures of bed bugs too on our site and then you can imagine how they actually look like.

Bed bug

There has not been proved so far that they cause any contagious disease, but what they actually cause following their bites has been established as the hepatitis B depending upon the vulnerability of the victim of their bite.  Notice how tiny these suckers are, no wonder you have trouble spotting them.  I can say this much, we just spent six weeks traveling and staying in hotels in NJ and not one bed bug!!!

So now you are educated on the bed and stink bugs, aren't you just thrilled?

**********************
On a more amusing front, I am once again preparing for the cooler months and that means, getting bird seed and feeders to attract and keep the feather beauties stopping by all damn winter. So far the chick-a--Dee's seem to find this a great place to dine.  I am sure if the Blue Jay is around, he too shall dine here as well.  However, the damn crows, cackles or black birds can stay the hell away -- they are almost as big as the wild turkeys and don't need any more food!  Too bad the suckers are on the protective specie list -- I'd like to shot the suckers, nasty and real pests in my book.  And yes, there are some evenings when this rather big animal shows up and I believe its called a DEER!!!

Again, a lovely Fall day and the temp is in the 60s, I am wearing shorts and life is good.  Sunny and nice, and if you haven't done so, get outside and enjoy that fresh air -- ye gads, soon you'll be bitching about it being too cold!!

October 26th

Did I just dream it or was this real?  Temps today hit the mid-70s and it was actually bloody ass hot outside.  Hells bells, I was back to wearing shorts and thinking, "why in hell did I even put on long pants?"

Ya gotta understand, I left Jersey and the mid 60 temps and came back to 30s and 40 temps and a wind chill that reminded me I was, once again, back in upstate NY.  Now this happens and I wonder if I am truly awake?

Also our new refrigerator finally arrived...ya, we ordered this sucker Labor Day weekend and we have heard every excuse under the book as to why it was delayed. So when it arrived this morning, I was still somewhat in shock.  One good thing about this -- the old one was still working so it wasn't like we have been without a refrigerator.

It does seem somewhat odd and different but my RBS services, that's retirement baby sitting, in case you forgot, has now gone to just two days a week as my grandson goes to day care.  He isn't real sure about day care, but hey, its only been one day, so give him some time.  However, I get him on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  So today, he and I really had a good day together and wore each other out.  Hope I am able to stay awake to watch Glee.

Yes, I watch that show...its so cheesy it cracks me up and I just like Sue, Beastie and the other actors (and actresses).  It reminds me of the ole show Fame but not quite as staged if you get my drift!

Jersey Crib but love his look!
Okay, nothing else to bore you with...had to add a photo tho.  Gotta tell ya, this kid has to be the most photographed kid on the planet.

Have a good evening, a wonderful tomorrow and just remember, being on this side of the dirt is good.

Travel Season Ends

Yes, folks, after six weeks, lots of hotel room time and laughter, I am finally back home and loving every second of it!

Gotta tell ya, the last week was the worse!  By the 6th week, the thrill of hotel living, shopping, Jersey traffic, etc was wearing a tad thin and while this was a nice hotel, close to the shopping Mall, it was ONE room and limited space drove us bonkers. I sometimes wondered if they could of crammed anything else into this room: king size bed, TV cabinet (huge),small refrig; baby crib, night stands, two awkward computer desks/tables, one chair with foot stool (wheels missing) and this awkward couch bench, a bathroom and closet.  I mean, this was one cramped area for three people, one being an 11 month old who needs room to walk, play and explore!

We had been somewhat spoiled while staying in Resident Inns because we either had two rooms or one HUGE room with a kitchen, sofa, lots of space and breakfast was included every morning in the main office area and four nights a week, dinner was served (not the greatest but trust me, I have had worse).  The only issue I have with some of these places is they need to learn to speak English and I mean speak English
Big boy or small crib?
Way to get into portable high chair!
Now the last day was the worse and I mean, the freakin worse.  Flat tire, 70 minute wait for the truck, then some nitwit thinking we'd drive back to NY on a donut (no way asshole), then, not one new tire but two (both were bald and probably never would have past an inspection) and them of course, an alignment.  Finally Kel is back to the hotel, having forgot her room/entry key, I had to let her in...no big deal. Doesn't take us long, and we are ready to load up the car.  Keep in mind, we had half packed the night before but with the tire business, this was undone and now packing everything again was the game.

She had called to inform the hotel staff that due to car problems, our check-out would be later and they assured us this was fine, very understanding, etc. So, we haul stuff out and know we need to make two trips. Well, shit and double shit, they deactivate our card keys and now, Kel hikes around to the front to inform them, personally, eye-to-eye that we need to get back into our room, etc.  Finally everything is packed and we are ready to leave NJ -- it is now nearly 3 pm and we had initially believed we'd be on the road by noon.

For the first time, I was so hungry that I would have eaten a stale donut if I could have found one so; I asked Kel to stop at any fast food joint and get me something to eat. She did just that and while I love chicken, this stuff was so oven hot, it was sometime before I could actually eat it..coleslaw was good tho!!  And the ice tea (which we would share) would certainly test our bladders!

It was in the mid-60s when we departed Jersey and we stopped in Warrensburg to stretch our legs and feed the baby (okay, we also changed his diaper) and when we opened the car door, that 33 degrees and wind definitely let it us know, you are back in NY and its COLD!!!

It would be close to 10 pm when we pulled in my driveway and would begin unloading the car.  "Mom," my girl says, "don't open your door, the light will wake up the baby!"  Hello, do you expect me to climb thru the window?  Finally she recognizes how stupid that remark was and we start to laugh, now the baby is awake, not happy and crying...oh good, I'm outta the car, headed into my house and she can listen to him for five minutes while she drives to her house...love it!!!

Okay, seriously, this has been a fun experience and we did lots of neat stuff, learned about and watched a ten month old graduate into an 11-month old and witness many changes in him as he explored and discovered new things (thankfully he is not talking because his first words might be a shocker).  Yes, I would do it again, but not anytime soon!  And with some major changes firmly established.

So now I am home and slowly resting up.  My sister called to say "keep December 5-6, maybe even the 7th, open...details to follow."  Bus tour to NYC and this includes seeing the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall and hiking around NY ciTAY.  That means some Christmas shopping and dining.  Oh, by the way, while in Jersey I had three meals at Bobby Flays burger Palace and man, that was fantastic.

Smile!

Bobby Flays pickle -- he loved it!

Helpful Hints

Hey, don't give me credit for this stuff, someone sent it to me and I'm merely passing it along..do these hints work? Who the hell knows!!

Helpful Hints for Winter

Keep your headlights clear with car wax! Just wipe ordinary car wax

on your headlights. It contains special water repellents that will prevent

that messy mixture from accumulating on your lights - lasts 6 weeks.

Squeak-proof your wipers with rubbing alcohol! Wipe the wipers with

a cloth saturated with rubbing alcohol or ammonia. This one trick can make
badly streaking & squeaking wipers change to near perfect silence & clarity.

Ice-proof your windows with vinegar! Frost on it's way? Just fill a

spray bottle with three parts vinegar to one part water & spritz it on all

your windows at night. In the morning, they'll be clear of icy mess. Vinegar
contains acetic acid, which raises the melting point of water---preventing
water from freezing!

Prevent car doors from freezing shut with cooking spray! Spritz

cooking oil on the rubber seals around car doors & rub it in with a paper

towel. The cooking spray prevents water from melting into the rubber.

Fog-proof your windshield with shaving cream! Spray some shaving

cream on the inside of your windshield & wipe if off with paper towels.

Shaving cream has many of the same ingredients found in commercial

defoggers.

Thar ya go...aren't you glad someone had time to figure all this out and pass it along?  Hey, watch your mouth, young kids in the house!!!

Where did Piss Poor come from?

Interesting History

They used to use urine to tan animal skins, so families used to all pee in a pot & then once a day it was taken & Sold to the tannery.......if you had to do this to survive you were "Piss Poor" But worse than that were the really poor folk who couldn't even afford to buy a pot......they didn't have a pot to piss in" & were the lowest of the low.

The next time you are washing your hands and complain because the water temperature isn't just how you like it, think about how things used to be. Here are some facts about the 1500s:

- Most people got married in June because they took their yearly bath in May, and they still smelled pretty good by June.. However, since they were starting to smell. ..... .Brides carried a bouquet of flowers to hide the body odor. Hence the custom today of carrying a bouquet when getting Married.

- Baths consisted of a big tub filled with hot water. The man of the house had the privilege of the nice clean water, then all the other sons and men, then the women and finally the children. Last of all the babies. By then the water was so dirty you could actually lose someone in it. Hence the saying, "Don't throw the baby out with the Bath water!"

- Houses had thatched roofs-thick straw-piled high, with no wood underneath. It was the only place for animals to get warm, so all the cats and other small animals (mice, bugs) lived in the roof. When it rained it became slippery and sometimes the animals would slip and fall off the roof...Hence the saying "It's raining cats and dogs."

- There was nothing to stop things from falling into the house. This posed a real problem in the bedroom where bugs and other droppings could mess up your nice clean bed. Hence, a bed with big posts and a sheet hung over the top afforded some protection. That's how canopy beds came into existence.

- The floor was dirt. Only the wealthy had something other than dirt. Hence the saying, Dirt poor." The wealthy had slate floors that would get slippery in the winter when wet, so they spread thresh (straw) on floor to help keep their footing. As the winter wore on, they added more thresh until, when you opened the door, it would all start slipping outside. A piece of wood was placed in the entrance-way. Hence: a thresh hold. (Getting quite an education, aren't you?)

- In those old days, they cooked in the kitchen with a big kettle that always hung over the fire.. Every day they lit the fire and added things to the pot. They ate mostly vegetables and did not get much meat. They would eat the stew for dinner, leaving leftovers in the pot to get cold overnight and then start over the next day. Sometimes stew had food in it that had been there for quite a while. Hence the rhyme: Peas porridge hot, peas’ porridge cold, and pea’s porridge in the pot nine days old. Sometimes they could obtain pork, which made them feel quite special. When visitors came over, they would hang up their bacon to show off. It was a sign of wealth that a man could, "bring home the bacon." They would cut off a little to share with guests and would all sit around and chew the fat.

- Those with money had plates made of pewter. Food with high acid content caused some the lead to leach onto the food, causing lead poisoning death. This happened most often with tomatoes, so for the next 400 years or so, tomatoes were considered poisonous.

- Bread was divided according to status. Workers got the burnt bottom of the loaf, the family got the middle, and guests got the top, or the upper crust.

- Lead cups were used to drink ale or whisky. The combination would sometimes knock the imbibers out for a couple of days. Someone walking along the road would take them for dead and prepare them for burial. They were laid out on the kitchen table for a couple of days and the family would gather around and eat and drink and wait and see if they would wake up. Hence the custom of holding a wake.

- England is old and small and the local folks started running out of places to bury people. So they would dig up coffins and would take the bones to a bone-house, and reuse the grave. When reopening these coffins, 1 out of 25 coffins were found to have scratch marks on the inside and they realized they had been burying people alive... So they would tie a string on the wrist of the corpse, lead it through the coffin and up through the ground and tie it to a bell. Someone would have to sit out in the graveyard all night (the graveyard shift.) to listen for the bell; thus, someone could be, saved by the bell or was considered a dead ringer.

- And that's the truth....Now, whoever said History was boring!!!

%$^&%%^&

Yes I am finally home after six weeks of traveling, mostly in New Jersey.  It has been quite an expereince and had its various challenges. Once I am fully caught up and rested, I shall regale you with the last week and in particular the last day...now that was a bitch flat tire, hotel key access denied, weather changes and so on..oh its a lovely story, be sure to come back and read it. But for now, enjoy your weekend, I plan too.

Demarest Farms

While the home folks were dealing with chilly temps and even snow in some areas, the Bergen County in Jersey was seeing temps in the70s yesterday. This county has that silly blue law, no shopping on Sunday so folks find other things to keep them happy.

For us, we headed out to the Demarest Farms..hayrides, pumpkins, scarecrows and lots of people and fun.  Even the food was great and the general store was a blast.  At first Clint wasn't too sure about all this but he slowly caught on -- he was more interested in watching people but the hay ride was fun and then, walking amongst the pumpkins.

I like this one!

On the hay wagon...

Pumpkin?  Naw stick!

As you can see, we had a good time.  One more week, meaning this week and then the travel season ends.  Gotta tell ya, its been fun but hotel living gets old fast.  I really like Paramus, things within walking distance and that makes the days go by faster but miss the Resident Inn hotel where we had two rooms, a kitchen and more space.  Oh well, we shall survive...wait, no laundry room, this could get tricky.

Today's high is suppose to be 64--ya I can take it...have a good Monday and keep smiling.

 Getting donuts -- all kinds..yummy!
This be the hay wagon -- what a ride!
Yes this is fun...now stop with the photos and help me pick these suckers up!
More another day....

Last Week

Yup, we are finally on the last week - the rains and miserable weather wasn't as bad as the reports indicated on TV.  I mean, yes it rained, and yes, it was windy and some trees went down but we woke up to blue skies sun and well, it was chilly.

No longer enjoying the accommodations of a Resident Inn (which means, no kitchen, no separate bedroom, etc)--now we have a king size bed, crib for the baby, and a bathroom. We had to request a refrigerator and its the size of a college dorm fridge -- cute as hell but somewhat worthless.  And as we have no kitchen, that means, we need to head to the dining room to heat up meals for the baby -- sweet shit, this is a pain in the royal ass.  However, the nice part is we are well within walking distance of the Mall and that means, some place to hang out and go see the pets in the Pet Store, etc. Hey, its only one more week, we can do this (we both are sick of hotel rooms).

When I get back I shall enlighten you all on the Retro-Gym, ya let your imaginations run wild, Kinder College and other highlights that will have you rolling on the floor.

Here's another video -- bulldozer wasn't as much fun as the apple car -- he was a tad scared.

Okay people  have a great weekend, snow in Killington, Vermont -- just a lovely dusting (6 to 8 inches)

Wednesday

Okay, it is Wednesday and we are once again, back in Jersey.  The drive on Monday started out nice (I drove to Syracuse)--sunny and just nice to see all the Fall colors (not as bright as I like but still pretty amazing).  Then we stayed longer at my sisters place so when we got back in the car, we had like an hour of daylight and then, dark driving.

Worse it began to rain, thunder, saw what we thought was heat lightening but would learn later, this was really lightening and even the games in NY were postponed due to heavy downpours, hail, etc. All we knew was our eyeballs were straining to see the damn road and it was really dark and windy. (FYI we are approximately 30 minutes from NYC so we got plenty of this storm on our drive here)

It was after ten when we got to Parsippany and while the baby and I stayed in the room, poor Kel was hauling stuff in from the car and it was downpour city and she was drenched...plus very tired (she did this leg of the drive).  It was close to midnight before we got prone and I think I passed out into slumber land quickly, while she was up and down half the night with the baby.

Anyway, we are here and we'll spent a week here and then move to Paramus next week --  I like Paramus...Mall is close by and Clint and I can stop in the pet store and he can see other stuff.  Ya, we got a small playground here which is nice but damp weather makes that off limits. Maybe this weekend we can go back to the beach -- now that would be nice but who knows, as it gets cooler, the beach gets colder too.

Anyway, gotta tell ya, we got a shower in this room that can nearly blast you into the other room.  Ya, man this sucker has some major pressure!  Well, yes I prefer this to that drizzle that takes 30 minutes to get shampoo outta the hair but man, this is like standing under a power pressure washer..

Okay, more later.  We got a few missions to accomplish like costumes for Clint's big ONE birthday and of course Halloween. I said I'd dress up as a Bud Lite but got this look -- okay, forget the lite -- I'll just go as a Bud!!!

Too Much

I just gotta share this video....watching his reaction to the taste of a lime is priceless.  I have this posted on Facebook but not all of you do that scene, so you get to see it here -- enjoy

Love his expressions -- and how he went after the water botttle -- the boy knows what he wants,eh?  One gal said she liked his "twitters!"  He is something, that's for dang sure.
Gotta tell ya, wish my other grandkids lived closer so the cousins could see each other more often. They are ALL good kids and so much fun...I miss them very much and will visit them again soon -- well, next year for sure!!!

Looks like hubby is taking me to brunch and then, that should suffice in the killing time department and into the car headed to Jersey!  Life is good...hey, we're on this side of the dirt, that is good!!!

Oh ya, when I get back I gotta get the deck furniture put away and buy more bird seed.  I want those little devils to keep coming around all winter long and yes, I will gladly feed them.  In Jersey cardinals were all over the place and home, I rarely get to see them and they are damn hard to photograph.

Back to Jersey

Yup, it's Monday and around noon we shall head back to NJ but first we're gonna stop and spend an hour or so with my sister in Syracuse. This will allow everyone a chance to stretch their legs and definitely give Clint plenty of running around time.  And yes, dear Auntie is fixing us dinner too.

This has been a real relaxing weekend -- sleeping in my own bed, doing next to nothing as far as housework goes (did do laundry tho)and watching football games and not even cooking.  Plus, I got my hair done and then, spent almost an hour solo -- imagine, I went to stores all by myself -- it was amazing. Ran into some great folks, one gal and I have been facebooking for months and knew it each other from my working days (she was a teen then, now mother to three).

However, even tho I am with Clint nearly 24/7 while on the road, I missed him and had to stop over and see him for awhile too. Dada was having a blast with him and just amazed at how much he had changed and learned in three weeks. But perhaps the greatest thrill was just being with Dada and going on a hike with him. And I am sure Dada took him on a tractor ride too.

How many remember this popper toy?  Clint just giggled and loved it so Grammie bought it. Then he had to learn that he needed to push it to make the balls pop -- dragging it backwards did not work and that irked him.

We do find some neat toys in Jersey and the ones that have him use his hands and eyes are the best -- keeps him busy and enhances his motor skills big time.

And you folks think I am silly -- look at his Mommy trying to fool him with this wreath!

Okay, you all behave and have a great week, as far as I know we shall be back Friday and depart again next Sunday for our last week in Jersey. BUT we may ended up staying down there this weekend and save the drive -- its a guess at this point.

Don't be irreplaceable.  If you can't be replaced, you can't be promoted!

Lighten Up -- Laugh Damnit

It was a small town and the patrolman was making his evening rounds..

As he was checking a used car lot, he came upon two little old ladies sitting in a used car..

He stopped and asked them why they were sitting there in the car or were they trying to steal it?

'Heavens no, we bought it.'

'Then why don't you drive it away.'

We can't drive.'

Then why did you buy it?'

'We were told that if we bought a Used car here

We'd get screwed ...so we're just waiting.

Jersey Sights

Okay, I've been in Jersey for three weeks and this has been something else.  I have taken my grandma babysitting on the road --- hotel sitting is definitely a challenge.

Here's my boy driving the Apple Car -- he's a darn good driver too.  Yes, this has been a fun outing and wonderful travel experience, too bad he is too young to realize just how much fun this truly is and all the wonders he is seeing.

As we hang around the hotel room (rain makes for very long days), we learn new things.  Like how to drink thru a straw (this took 10 minutes to learn); how to turn around and slide off both the bed and sofa vs head first into the floor (ouch); and we are learning that "NO" means no...something about cords fascinates him and makes me nervous as hell.  Mama doesn't like the idea of slapping his hands (okay, electrocute yourself) but slowly NO is getting the message across and being moved from the cords helps too.

Oh the trash cans via washer/dryers...this was seen on the Jersey Shore -- some restaurant and I thought it was a truly clever idea...no landfill for those suckers and the practicality is wonderful.  Ya the color ain't bad either, eh?

Oh look at all that water!

I love this sand -- diggin for something?
Wait I found something -- seashell???

It is so much fun watching his discover and explore and we both loved the beach, as did his Mama.

Grammie had her moments too...

Okay, enuff for now -- back to Jersey for another two weeks and then the travel shall end.  Clint will soon head to daycare and only stay with me two days a week.  However, I need a sister-get-together before the weather gets nasty, so Syracuse better be ready as I plan to visit and gossip with my sister until the cows come home (we don't even have cows anymore).

Oh, one last thing and if I offend anyone, forgive me, but Jersey's workers are damn hard to understand.  Its not just the busted English, its the damn inability to open their mouths and enunciate words.  What's up with that anyway?

However, I like Jersey and the folks are nice...traffic is a nightmare but I ain't driving so no whining from me!

Like my hat?  Me neither!!!

Let the baby drive, it makes for a quieter ride!!!  Oh wait, he can't reach the gas or brake -- no problem, we ain't moving anyway!!!

Well, you all have a great 3-day weekend, I sure as hell did.  Slept in my own bed and had the love of my life beside me, life is good.

Back to Jersey tomorrow, hope they are ready, we shall be!!!

Dada likes this one -- he missed his little boy and this weekend he has spent considerable time with him.  Hey, Mama got some rest and that is good too.
